Bacardi USA unveils new ready-to-drink cocktails

Bacardi USA, the US import, sales and marketing arm of Bacardi Limited and maker of Bacardi Rum, has partnered with Busy Philipps, an actress and perpetual party host, to launch a new range of ready-to-drink, low calorie beverages - Bacardi Classic Cocktails Light.

The Classic Cocktails Light is made of real juice, pure cane sugar and natural flavors. It is available in Pina Colada and Mojito flavors.

Bacardi Classic Cocktails Light provides 95 calories for 4oz serving.

Bacardi USA rum category vice president and brand managing director Toby Whitmoyer said premixed cocktails have become a staple behind the bar - especially for home entertainers.

"Two of the most popular cocktails from our Bacardi Classic Cocktails line are the Pina Colada and the Mojito," Whitmoyer said.

"Quality-wise, this product fits right in on the shelf next to the other Bacardi rums, but we also look forward to attracting new consumers, who are looking for a low-calorie, ready-to-serve option with Bacardi Classic Cocktails Light."

The launch of Bacardi Classic Cocktails Light will be supported with a multimedia campaign from mid-May 2012 through September 2012. It will be distributed in 750ml and 1.75l formats.
