Dr Pepper Signs Five-Year Contract With HCL For IT Services

DPS becomes an anchor service desk customer to HCL’s global services delivery facility

Dr Pepper Snapple Group (DPS), a producer of flavoured beverages, has signed a five-year deal with a global IT services provider, HCL Technologies for IT application and infrastructure operations and management services.

HCL would provide DPS with application support and maintenance, and manage and monitor infrastructure support and operations leveraging its Managed Services Model. At HCL's Raleigh, N.C. global services delivery facility, DPS would become an anchor service desk customer.

Under the five-year contract, DPS would be assisted in the areas of end-user computing, application support and maintenance, network management and integrated service desk. HCL would also deliver managed print services for DPS, through its partnership with Xerox.

Virginia Guthrie, chief information officer and senior vice president of information technology for Dr Pepper Snapple Group, said: After evaluating a number of global service providers, we selected HCL due to the strong team and comprehensive technical solution tailored to our business needs. With its Axon acquisition, HCL also offers deep SAP capabilities, an area of importance to us.

In order to improve technology-enabled services, DPS would leverage HCL's Integrated Operations and Management Center (IOMC) approach to ensure that the applications and infrastructure teams work out of the same facility.
