Millennium Unveils Belvedere Pink Grapefruit Maceration Vodka

DBR Staff Writer Published 12 May 2010

Millenium Imports, the Poland based manufacturer of Belvedere vodka, has launched Pink Grapefruit maceration vodka. The distiller said that Pink Grapefruit maceration is 40% alcohol by volume (ABV), and claims that there are no artificial additives in this grapefruit flavor.

The distiller further claims that Belvedere Pink Grapefruit is distilled from Argentinean whole pink grapefruits, which are combined with fresh ginger and Spanish spring lemons. The new Pink Grapefruit flavor joins the distiller's portfolio of maceration vodkas including Orange, Black Raspberry and Citrus.

According to the company, Belvedere Pink Grapefruit can be combined with complementary mixers such as cranberry juice, tonic water and even carbonated colas. In addition, Pink Grapefruit is distilled to pair with Pan-Asian and Mediterranean cuisines.

Millenium Imports has formed partnership with international designer Matthew Williamson to design an exclusive kaftan, inspired by the new flavor.

Charles Gibb, president of Millennium Imports, said: We are excited to introduce Pink Grapefruit to our hugely popular range of Belvedere Vodka Macerations. Pink Grapefruit is an interesting and innovative combination of sweet citrus and spicy ginger, making it the perfect summer cocktail complement.

Claire Smith, head of spirit creation for Belvedere Vodka, said: Belvedere Pink Grapefruit represents a first for Belvedere: maceration of the whole fruit has delivered an impressive hit of succulent, ripe grapefruits, complemented by a hint of fresh ginger and lemon. The new maceration provides the perfect base for a variety of cocktails and, yet, is equally delicious served chilled, neat or over ice.
