Philadelphia Brewing To Expand Into Pittsburgh Market

P.B.C. to self distribute its products to retail beer distributors

Kenzinger Beer brewed in Philadelphia will be distributed in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. Philadelphia Brewing (P.B.C.) is said to be the only brewery in Pennsylvania to self distribute its products to retail beer distributors, restaurants, bars and delis.

The beers offered are Kenzinger - features spirited flavor with 4.5% of alcohol/volume, Newbold IPA contains 6% of alcohol/volume, Rowhouse Red features flavors of toasted malt and rye with 5% of alcohol/volume, Walt Wit contains 4.2% alcohol/volume.

It offers seasonal brews such as Joe Coffee Porter, Fleur de Lehigh brewed. It also provides Biberry, Shackamaximum, Philly'z Navidad, Phila-buster.

Matt Nienhuis, director of Allegheny county operations, said: This is the 'old school' way of getting beer into the hands of beer drinkers. Self-distribution allows us to better monitor our products' quality and freshness and helps us forge and maintain relationships with our customers.”
