Phusion Projects unveils new XXX Limited Edition drink in Four Loko series

DBR Staff Writer Published 05 January 2011

Phusion Projects, a Chicago-based producer of alcoholic beverages, has introduced new Four Loko XXX Limited Edition. The product will have a new Four Loko flavor profile every four months. The roll out starts with Green Apple, followed by Blueberry Lemonade, which will be launched in May.

Four Loko XXX Limited Edition is being shipped to select markets now, and will be rolled out to all the company's markets during the coming weeks. The cans and packaging will retain one consistent UPC code to simplify sale and distribution.

Four Loko is sold in 23.5-ounce cans with either 6% or 12% ABV, depending on state regulations.
It is available in eight flavors - Orange, Fruit Punch, Lemonade, Cranberry Lemonade, Uva (grape), Watermelon, Blue Raspberry and Lemon Lime.

Phusion Projects co-founder Jaisen Freeman said in the new year, the company'll continue to introduce exciting new products that consumers love.

According to Phusion Projects co-founder Chris Hunter, like all reformulated Four Loko products, Four Loko XXX Limited Edition does not contain caffeine or other stimulants.

"We're in complete compliance with federal and state regulations, and we're looking forward to continued cooperation with the Food and Drug Administration and state alcohol boards in 2011," Hunter said.

Phusion Projects sells its products - including Four Loko, Four MaXed and Earthquake - across the US.
